Dr. Hamid Hashemi received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology degree from Northeastern University School of Engineering in Boston, Mass. in 1995. Two years after his graduation he attended Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2001. Upon his graduation, Dr. Hamid Hashemi obtained the Texas Optometry Board Certification to practice as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Dr. Hamid Hashemi started his practice in South Plano in 2001 and continued his work in Lewisville Texas. With over 20 years of experience in the field of optometry, Dr. Hashemi is ready to provide treatment and management in all aspects of your eye care need.
Since 2018, Dr. Hashemi has focused on myopia management on reducing the progression of myopia in kids. In his practice in Lewisville Texas, his immediate attention is to inform kids and parents about myopia progression and how can utilize myopia control options to preserve good ocular health.

Ms. Yolanda Hashemi has been a certified optician with the American Board of Opticianary since 1989. She has worked in a managerial position for several years at various large optical chains assisting customers with their frame selections and their optical needs. She joined Dr. Hashemi to bring her years of experience and expertise to provide professional frames and lens selection which will better soothe your everyday visual demanding lifestyle.
